How to Cook Wild Rice in Rice Cooker
1/2 cup pot barley
1/2 cup long grain brown rice
1/2 cup Oh Canada wild rice
3 cups chicken stock
1 cup brown mushrooms, chopped
1/4 cup sweet red bell pepper, chopped
1/4 chives, chopped
1/4 fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Place the first five ingredients in rice cooker.
5 minutes before it finished cooking, add pepper, chives and parsley,
When finished cooking, mix in butter and soy sauce.
Fluff into serving dishes.
Fabulous with grilled salmon and fresh salad tossed with a light vinaigrette.
TIPS
To cook rice:
1 part of wild rice requires 4 parts of water.
1 part of white rice, brown rice or bended wild rice all requires 2 parts of water.
